PLEASE NOTE: THE WORK HAS SINCE BEEN HALTED BY THE PROVINCE. THIS POST WAS ORIGINALLY FROM MARCH 3rd. CALLS TO STOP THE WORK ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED. THANK YOU IF YOU CALLED.
Construction on Arthur and Patricia HAS STARTED again this morning by the four cottagers.
IT IS CRITICAL TO CALL THE NUMBERS AT THE END OF THIS POST. EVERYONE OF THEM. THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON TO LET THEM KNOW YOU DEMAND CONSTRUCTION ON PUBLIC LAND BE STOPPED.
Apparently, since this is no longer the jurisdiction of our council (and now the province instead), the province is in the process of determining jurisdiction and the RCMP will not be employed to stop anything until told to do so.
And until they are stopped the changes occurring are nothing less than devastating to the public beach.
If you wish to contact these families directly doing the construction with your concerns or comments they request you contact them at: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have concerns or want to demand your elected officials can guarantee to you that no public Provincial land is being altered or used (other than as a means to access their private property) please contact the RMVB, the provincial government or your local councilors immediately.
