Further compelling and direct evidence as to the effects of a revetment. A very important piece of information for Victoria Beach in particular.

This excerpt from the recent SETC report (dated February 18th, 2011) for the Arthur/Patricia revetment:

Page 7 Item number 10 “The SETC notes that the available information suggests that the construction of the shoreline protection work will likely lead to the lowering of the shore and beach adjacent to the works over time, with the potential for the beach to disappear completely.”

A number of people voiced a concern that they did not think it was fair to provide a quote out of context without offering the entire SETC report. At the time of the original post, we only had access to the quote and not the full report. We have since accessed the report and now offer it here in its entirety for your consideration.

A very interesting read.  And very disturbing to the future of Patricia and Arthur should it be allowed to stay.
